A Last-Minute Gift Guide

A Last-Minute Gift Guide

I don’t know about you but I have a tendency to wait until the very last minute to shop for the holidays–like today. There are less than 5 days until Christmas and I’m barely getting my gifts together. Sometimes, it’s nearly impossible trying to figure out what to get and for whom, so I took the time to put together a last-minute gift guide for those habitual procrastinating shoppers like myself.

Beats by Dre – Cutting the cord and having great sound are crucial for just about every mood. Two of my favorite items from there are the Beats Pill+ ($199) and the Solo 3 Wireless Headphones ($299), but if you don’t want to break the bank yet still want good sound, check out their EP Headphones ($99).

Bushwick – Bushwick is one of my favorite handcrafted clothing brands, and just in time for the season, the brand has partnered with PLNTY to release two capsule pieces: Best Coast, Beast Coast Hoodie ($65), and the Best Coast, Beast Coast hat ($35). Get it while you can! Product is limited, and once a piece sells out it’ll never be remade again.

HER Threads – A Los Angeles-based brand started by two queens for queens. The Queen by Nature tee ($30) and the Salute The Queens tee ($30) are two of my favorite pieces from them, but honestly their entire store is cop-worthy. Shop here.

Karma Bliss – Because being zen is more than a fad, it’s a lifestyle. Started by one of my favorite radio personalities, Karma Bliss takes the yogi life and makes it easy for consumption. The Bliss Bag ($52) and Meditation Mantra Cards ($10) are two of my favorite items from there, but if you can afford it, get an Om Meditation Chair ($179)–your higher self, and back, will thank you later.

The iStun – Personal security is a priority of mine, and this Smartphone Stun Gun ($49) takes the ‘scariness’ out of needing to protect yourself by delivering a product that looks reminiscent of an iphone. It’s super sleek, rechargeable, and discreet.

Her Own Lane – Not so subtle reminders of feminine excellence. My items of choice are the HER Own Lane Starter Kit ($34), which comes equipped with an Intention Journal, Millionaire Mug, and Purpose Pen. Also, the Be The Example print ($12) is a seamless gift.

Queen Agenda – Another brand just for the Queens. The Queen script hat and the Logo’d tee are two of my favorite items here, and they literally sell out with each release. In case they’re gone by the time you log on, know you can’t go wrong with the Logo’d tote.

Already Legendary
– I’ve been a fan of 3D Na’Tee from time, and there’s no greater way to gift this holiday season than with some artist merch/gear. The Already Legendary Jet Setter Sweatshirt is my item of choice, but the whole store is lit.

Olloclip – A 4-in-1 camera lens for the creative on the go. Hands down one of my favorite phone add-ons, and an easy gift to give providing you know what type of phone the recipient has.

Adidas – As much I love the other guys, Adidas has really shifted the culture this year. The Harden Sports Jacket is a favorite of mine, however for a last-minute gift just about anything Adidas will be fine. (And if you’re on  a super tight budget, hit Marshalls. They’ve always got some Adidas on sale.)

Social Media Memorabilia – I have a Snapchat plushie (which I LOVE) courtesy of my friends at HQ, but boy was I surprised to find that Snapchat has an Amazon store, equipped with ice trays and other knick-knacks you can order just in time for the holiday. Shop here.

DIY Distressed Jean Jacket – Get you a cheap jean jacket, youtube a DIY and make something up. Oversized jean jackets are in and quite frankly go with just about everything no matter how grungy the outcome. My favorite jean DIY is this, however he pictured jacket was $30 at a thrift store (you could find at the Salvation Army).

Lastly… A Magazine Subscription – Print is not dead. Last year a family member got me a Fast Company subscription and it was arguably one of the best gifts I’ve ever received and appreciated in time. Give the gift that keeps on giving, with FastCo or Teen Vogue.

** Note that if you can find a comparable brand in advance of the holidays, go for it! However, all brands listed above I can vouch for so definitely bookmark them for later.
