Drake’s ‘October’s Very Own’ Brand Signs To Warner Bros. Records
Over the past few months, in a very un-Drake-like manner, Drizzy has been relatively musically inactive… Yes, he’s appeared on some guest verses here and there, but has yet to release something of his own. Little did we know he was making power moves behind-the-scenes for his brand. Drake‘s October’s Very Own brand has officially inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records.
Similar to the deal that TDE has with Interscope, Warner is offering it a great opportunity to become a well established imprint; in-turn making OVO bigger than a trendy blog or something Drake says at the end of his raps.
Does this deal mean that Drake is signed to Warner Bros. now? No. Drake is currently signed as a solo artist to Universal Records via his deal with Young Money/Cash Money, and his long withstanding solo deal will in no way be affected by his brand move.
I’ll keep you updated as more details surrounding this brand merger become available… Until then, congrats are in order!happywheels
