50 Cent is really serious about his forthcoming project Street King Immortal, although with what he’s released so far my anticipation has squandered… Disappointment aside, 50 has snagged Eminem and Adam Levine as features for his latest single “My Life”. Not only did he release the single, he debuted the video on MTV Jams, and then subsequently got Eminem to sit down for an interview to explain the song’s importance. Check it out after the break.
50 Cent’s latest single ‘My Life‘ featuring Eminem and Adam Levine is off to a pretty good start as far as reactions are concerned. 50 and Adam even lit up The Voice earlier tonight with a lively performance of the tune. The video was shot a few weeks ago where MTV got the chance to sit with 50 & & Em to discuss the concept behind the song as well as the visual treatment shot in Detroit.
“The video is kind of abstract; it’s kind of metaphoric in a sense, like the paranoia of feeling like we’re being chased. Whether it’s true or not, it’s kind of how we feel. It’s kind of a metaphor for us running for our lives. Personal lives and from fame, everything that goes with the game.”
“The album itself is more personal than the albums in the past Now this record, it’s allowed us to do different things creatively. I’ve been able to come out a few times, more than usual to come to Detroit and work with Em for this record.”
