The Internet Strikes Back, Hackers Take Down The Websites Of DOJ, MPAA, RIAA, and UMG

As soon as it was made known that MegaUpload had been snatched by the Federal Government, a group of hackers, better known as Anonymous (@AnonDaily & @AnonOps) proceeded to shut down a series of anti-piracy pro-censorship websites, including:  MPAA.org, RIAA.org, Justice.gov, and UniversalMusic.com. Now whether the sites will stay down is highly unlikely, but this simple retaliation the day after the SOPA Strike has shown the higher ups that the internet won’t take censorship lightly.

The battle is not over, and there will be more legislation to combat, but herein starts The Internet Revolution of 2012. This will be in web development history apps for years to come, of that I’m sure.

I can’t wait to see what sites they take down next / what the gov’t does in return. Things are going to turn into a full out battle, I can feel it lol
