I had the opportunity to see J. Cole as he performed at The Venue of Scottsdale last night… The show was sold out, and the building was literally at capacity. The set was amazing.

Jermaine performed cuts from The Warm Up to The Sideline Story. Cole was pulling and engaging old fans while forming new ones, meanwhile teetering his balance on his good leg and taking the occasional squat on a stool… So much growth since I first saw Young Simba 2 years ago. Unfortunately my press badge didn’t come with crowd repellant, so ignore the occasional hand or snapback and re-live a vast majority of the set with me!

Sidenote: As I left The Venue, every single car was rolling out with their windows down blasting J. Cole. In the state of Arizona, that is EPIC! Shoutout to Sean Healy for putting together the amazing set!
